Women's Health Minute:

HPV infections are now considered to be a factor in the development of cervical cancer in women so if you've been diagnosed with the HPV virus, it's more important than ever to get regular pap smears and to follow up immediately on any suspicious findings.

If you are a woman born in the last few decades, you should also know that there has been an increase in a certain type of cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma. Please consult with your gynecologist about your risk factors and tests that can help quickly catch any abnormality of concern.

Are there natural cancer remedies
to address cervical cancer?

Question on healing: Everywhere I find on the web says there are no cures for cervical cancer or hpv. Do you know of any holistic/alternative treatments?

Healing facilitation response: There are holistic remedies to help the body address just about every health challenge. It makes sense if we think back to the time when there were no prescription drugs. Native peoples had to learn how to treat conditions naturally all the time.

However, I'm sure you know that the law prevents me from prescribing or saying that anything natural might do what medical science says isn't possible. So far, in this land of the free, I am still able to say what I believe though, and I do believe that. As for hpv, I'd strongly suggest researching the impact of such vaccinations on the immune system if you are considering giving an adolescent girl the new, and in my mind too new, vaccine everyone is pushing.

I know one company that has created a formula specific to hpv virus. They use a researched and tested blend of pure essential oils. It would personally be my first choice if I had hpv. The Stages of Cervical Cancer

An informed patient is an empowered patient. I advocate strong participation in your own recovery, including asking all questions you feel necessary of your cancer specialist to help you make the most informed decision on your path to recovery.

I am of the awareness that there are times when disease has progressed so far in the body that, at times, surgery or radical procedure is the best approach. However, I say that rather hesitantly because I also have witnessed the body's almost miraculous ability to heal anything if given what it needs to heal. You are the best judge of your body's state. There are 5 stages in the development of this particular type of cancer, from Stage 0 to Stage 4. Learn what the various stages of cervical cancer may mean.

How I'd Personally Treat Cervical Cancer

If I had cervical cancer myself, the way I would treat it would depend on how far along it was. If caught early, I'd work very agressively with nutrition, consulting with a nutritionist and perhaps considering a raw food diet, or macrobiotic, to help my body fight the cancer.

I would do a full body detox, provided my health was up to that, to cleanse the body so it can better absorb nutrients, flush toxins and heal. I have a lot more about why I believe in detoxing so strongly, in the Detox Articles Section of my site.

Additionally, I'd be applying pure oregano oil (diluted in olive oil so it will not sting my skin) over the cervical area every day and taking oregano oil internally. This is because oregano oil is a strong natural antiviral substance.

I would support my immune system by way of taking Mangosteen Juice and help my body fight the cancer with Essiac Tea (ps. very important to ask at the health food store for tea made per Rene Caisse's specific instuctions - other blends or ways of making the tea not considered as potent), with positive affirmation, hypnosis and subliminal tapes, and with meditation and prayer.

I would also take a product called Iridodial. In fact, I took a round of it myself as a preventative. Though not specific to cervical cancer, the research on this substance was convincing enough for me to use it myself, even though I've never been diagnosed with cancer, because of the stress I was under at the time. This same company has another product, called Poly-MVA that supports the body nutritionally if chemotherapy is required as part of your treatment.

What if the cancer is diagnosed as terminal?

If that was the diagnosis I was given, first of all I would not accept it as incontrovertable fact. This leads to a defeated attitude that suppresses the very immune system that would help you fight it. After all, why fight if death is inevitable?

In this case, I'd probably follow pretty much the same regimen except that I would not do a full body detox if my system were weakened and I would introduce raw foods more slowly as they can tend to flush toxins fast.

Whether a person decides to address cancer through conventional medicine, alternative medicine, or both, I do think it's vital to get the testing, keep on top of what is working and not working, and take conventional measures to safeguard life if the situation gets critical. In other words, in some cases, surgery of chemo may be the best option.

I see this as true whenever the cancer has such a hold on the body that immediate action is needed to avoid death and when the person simply cannot address the underlying emotional issues.

Underlying factors in the development of cancer

Which brings me to the underlying cause of diseases like cancer, from a spiritual and alternative healing perspective.

In my own experience, in working with people who have developed cancer in their bodies, I've yet to meet a person with diagnosed cancer who does not also have an emotional suppression or imbalance going on.

Common life scenarios where cancer can flourish include marriages where one or the other spouse is abusive, relationships where one or the other no longer is in love but stays in some manner of deceit for other reasons (the children, finances, fear of leaving, etc.), and situations where there is suppressed childhood trauma or grief that has never been expressed or resolved.

The most common, chronic emotional states that supports the development of cancer in the body include...

1. Bitterness
2. Resentment
3. Suppressed rage
4. Guilt
6. Self-Hatred

I'd look at these issues in your own life and, in the case of cervical cancer, would additionally look at issues with intimacy, sexuality, sexual abuse and any indentity struggles as a woman.

Working with an energetic healing facilitator who understand the structure of cell memory can help the body release cancer. Talking with a counselor can be very helpful for stress reduction, resolving issues that may be contributing to your body's cancer receptivity, and releasing unexpress anger, bitterness, resentment or rage.

Listening to selfhelp tapes or cds, subliminals, hypnosis tapes and similar types of mind-reprogramming tools would be a significant aspect of my healing regimen, were I diagnosed with cancer.

What the asker of this question had to say about my response: "Thanks again Neva, I couldn't have gathered all the information you gave me in a year of google searches!"
