Significance of Dreams about Spiritual Ceremony

The Dream:
I'm with my soulmate and another friend or two and we are getting ready for a spiritual ceremony. (There's a name for this type of ceremony but I can't remember it). We will take turns praying while sitting suspended on a structure. It is something about being suspended, like being over a funeral pyre, that is significant in the ceremony.

I get up on the narrow board but lay down and almost fall asleep twice. The second time, I realize I could fall off so I stay awake. Then, I'm down on the ground getting ready again, having still not started my personal prayer vigil. When I come back up onto the structure, there are about four boards together, rather than just the one narrow board. I have more support for participating now and less risk of falling off the suspended area while praying. I finally start on my part of the prayer vigil. The dream ends before the ceremony completes.

My take on the dream so far:
This amazing dream could be an encapsulated view of my life for the past 10 years or so. I was in a spiritual marriage for 7 years and that really was the narrow board I almost fell asleep on. I was so engrosssed in trying to fit the proverbial square peg into the round hole that I neglected my own spiritual growth (my personal prayer vigil).

Then, I left that relationship and spent another 6 years down on the ground, getting ready again. Like in the dream, when I finally came back from that painful time, the structure of my spiritual life felt broader, like the four boards instead of one. Even praying on a funeral pyre is significant. I am grateful that I was in place and praying when the dream ended. Feels like the end of a very long and painful time of transformation for me.

The dream ending just as I find support for the ceremony and before the ceremony completes tells me I have started on a new part of my life and that it will take my continued attention to maintain this new level of awareness and connection.
